Dolly Rona Abel Celebrates 60th Birthday

Re: Hey Teacher, Don't Leave Us Kids Alone!

July 25, 2009 by tengvilla

It's getting nearer now about two years from now.  Ang problema ay how old are they now and where we can locate them and we need a nanny just in case to take care of them.  There's many ifs, Edd, many ifs????

Edd,

You don't have to resize your photo when you upload to photobucket, photobucket will take it and you have a second back-up files.  The only drawback is you get a slow upload because of bigger files.
When you resize your photo to a lower resolutions, you degrade the image[s].  Just upload it as is.

Edd,

Dolly have a good memory pati ang spelling ng teacher ay alam niya.

Si Imelda Cruz Yap ay taga Alabastro corner Diamante [ka-party line namin sa telepono since kupong kupong] and if I'm not mistaken her Aunt was a teacher in Rafael Palama.  Si Natty Orberta ay taga Zafiro [her brother was my barkada].  Si Jose Mistades ay taga Rubi [my classmates since 5th & 6th grade].  Si Antonino Pascual at taga Pinedo [kapitbahay namin about two blocks].  Si Benito Castro taga Abiadores [malapit din sa amin about three blocks].  Si Rosita Anuran ay taga San Antonio Village [my classmates since 5th & 6th grade].  Si "BOTE" last name Bautista" and can't recall his first name but lives in the corner of Rafael Palma and the gasoline station along the street where Rosita Anuran lives.

DannyR,

The only problems is they don't want to participate.  If Araullo66 class join the Forum and participate, we will have good discussions on any topics.  Joining the Forum is not a difficulty thing to do and I don't know why.

June 29, 2009 by tengvilla

Here are the some of the pictures taken during Cynthia's birthday celebration held at Alabang Country Club.

It was a big party with more than a 100 guest enjoying the food, singing, dancing and drinking affairs.

Our group Class 66 occupied two tables (about 20 of us present).

Hope you will be able to idenify them in the pictures.

Everyone of us enjoyed the party and hope to held again when you and Nick are here.

Best regards,
Rudy

Araullo66 2008 XMAS Party & Reunion

June 5, 2009 by tengvilla

Though late as the idioms go, "better late than never" and "huli man daw at magaling ay naihahabol din", these partially uploaded photos took me some time to upload because of huge files involved [191 and 189 respectively for the links below and totals of 380 image files to be exact].  I just uploaded photos in a manageable way for our classmates to see in group settings and a record book for our Araullo66 Forum.

Thanks to Danilo Rodriguez, who took most of these photos and to volunteers to name a few like Rodolfo Evaristo, Pamela Bautista and to other classmates I forgot to mention/remember their names, my apology.

KUDOS to the following classmates for without their participation or presence, our 2008 Xmas party and reunion would have not been possible and successful.  Nick Obas with his generosity, funded our Xmas party; Tony Baranda was responsible for publishing our party to the print media; Ben Castro donated a lechon; Nestor Cayanan and wife brought Pansit Malabon; Alan Jalandoni brought "balut" as a party favors; Officers of our Araullo66 Alumni organization responsible in organizing/preparing/scheduling/coordinating our party namely, Zeny Imperial De Guzman, Dolly Abel, Ding and Susan Mayor, Tess Dela Llarte, Carmelita and Antonino Pascual; our classmates including their husbands and wives in last name order [no offense if I didn't mention your names]: Thelma Amis, Lope Anievas Jr, Rosita Anuran, Aurea Armas Santos, Wilma Bonifacio, Zolita Borja, Margarito Botin Jr, Elane Cabigon Cortez, Marta Coloma, Danilo Cua, Zenaida Dela Cruz, Adoracion Delos Santos, Rogelio Duff, Wilfredo Esguerra, Aniceto Fontanilla, Hector Gadian, Barbara Gamundoy, Herminia Garon, Esperanza Jacobe, Zenaida Latayan, Felix Malsi, Girme Manago, Patricia Martin, Romeo Matuba, Cynthia Morales, Teresita Nepomuceno, Sebastian Oasay Jr, Leticia PazP, Daisybelle Pedroche, Fe Sagun, Abelardo Santos, Teofila Santos, Wilma Vasquez, Leila Yatco and Thomas Yazon Jr.

    THANK YOU ALL.

Meetings/Dinner

June 2, 2009 by tengvilla

Trivia or FYI for my overseas classmates.  Araullo batch 1966 alumni [Manila Chapter] always hold their meetings on the second Saturday of the month between the hours of 3pm and 5pm all year round in one of the AHS campus.  They text each other thru cell phone if there's a change of venue and date but most of the time they stick on the date in AHS campus.

I attended to a few meetings and I let Danny Rodriguez took pictures for my remembrance back in the USA.

Rey Castro Sneaks!!!!

Despite his busy schedule at the World Bank, Rey Castro sneaked into Manila on April 27, 2009.

He treated us to pizza as he demonstrated some ball-room dance steps inside his new condo.

He also gave his and Bert's share for the Class '66 Scholars' Fund. Rey and Bert jointly sponsor the domain name, hosting and the FTP for our website.

Ang Pagbabalik

Ang Pagbabalik

[Click photo to enlarge]

Gaya ng dati, si Rey, a.k.a.

SUMMER 2009

Dan, take a picture of the lechon,” asked Abel. I did, with Felix chopping it. Now and then a hand comes from nowhere picking a piece of the crispy skin. Ben Castro who is in Sydney gave the big roasted pig thru Abel.

We had a sumptuous meal with the over-flowing food that each one brought for potluck.

The ladies received one piece of rose each,

the men likewise received bottles of red wine.

The roses and wine were compliments of Teng Villarente from far-away California, coursed thru Butch Botin.

A few weeks before May 24th, there was a suggestion not to hold a summer outing this year due to recession. A few days later, however, our cell phones were filled with messages that we have to come for this occasion as the venue, a hot spring resort with private pool in Los Baños, Calamba, has been paid for by Ding and Susan Mayor.

And so we had a summer outing with the children and even grand children of our members.

Ben and Teng [in conference with Nick Obas] called wishing us a happy summer reunion.

Zeny and the leadership took the opportunity to hold a meeting;

the agenda included our Class ’66 projects and its financial reports that will be finalized and posted in our website.

Pacita Baltazar suggested good ideas about our projects and facilitation of contributions from the NorthAm counterparts.

We did not finish the lechon and most of the food, so Susan packed them and gave each one of us to take home. /DannyR
